About the method
Values are the deep beliefs about what matters most in life. They guide our choices, our careers and our relationships — often without us noticing.
One of the best-known models of human values was developed by the Israeli psychologist Shalom Schwartz from the late 1980s onward. Studying people in dozens of countries, he found a similar set of basic values everywhere, arranged in a circle: values next to each other (like security and tradition) go together, while opposite ones (like security and adventure) pull in different directions.
This test groups those ideas into six easy-to-understand values: Achievement, Security, Freedom, Adventure, Kindness and Fairness. It combines importance ratings with ranking questions, because choosing between good things often reveals what matters most.
All 28 questions were written for TestMyPsyche. There are no good or bad values — this test is for self-reflection and fun.
